First Annual 2008 Hair Styling Competition/Awards Since the inception of Recognition with Style, I have been overjoyed by the number of people who have helped to create this platform full of advice, contacts and innovative styles. Because of your help and dedication to our fantastic publication, I am delighted and honored to announce Recognition with Style’s First Annual Hair Styling Awards’ Celebration. Every issue, we spotlight some of the area’s most creative performing artists, as well as the styles they have designed. As the ultimate recognition for these artists, we decided to create an award-winning hair styling competition put on through the magazine. Simply click on a category to reveal the list of artists and styles then cast your vote. Each issue, the votes will be tallied and a winner will be determined. Keep track of participants and winners by visiting the Web site as often as you’d like. This summer, after the winners from each issue are chosen, we will host our First Annual Hair Styling Competition, where the overall winners from each category will be announced, and cash and other prizes will be awarded. In addition to the competition, guests will enjoy a silent auction, hors d’oeuvres, music and camaraderie. So, here’s your opportunity to walk down the red carpet and spotlight your hair-cutting prowess. Not only will this event be a fun way to get together with others in the industry, but proceeds from the silent auction will benefit The Rally Foundation’s research for finding a cure for childhood cancer.Hairstyles Listed below are numerous hairstyles for our performing artists to choose as they test their superior skill and show off their designs for your enjoyment.![]() Winners from issue #3 ![]() Favorite services: Hair extensions and weaves What she likes best about her career: The flexible hours and the ability to meet and work with a variety of people.
